Cookie Costumes

Girl Scout Cookie Costumes

We made these (and by we I meant mostly the moms and I of our Daisy Troop) by using card board or the thick Elmers Foam board purchased at Wal-Mart (located next to the poster board), felt, and the handy dandy glue gun. Some of the girls got into helping , others lost interest quickly. We did get a lot of complements at our cookie booth and some people stopped by to "see those cookie costumes".

Samoa

  Thin Mint.
Savannah Smile colored in with marker by the 6 year old Daisy.
Happy Little Daisy with the sign she mad all by herself.

Do Si Do , Designed by 6 year old Daisy. She used Markers to color it in.

Materials List: Glue Gun, lots of refill glue sticks, markers, empty cookie boxes, felt of dark brown & tan, Scissors (optional gold glitter glue used on Samoa stripes and on Do Si Do edge)

1) Start by cutting the shapes of cookies out of the board ( I used a exacto knife on top of my cutting board. It helped to draw the shape with a pencil first).
2) We used cookie boxes to cut out cookie flavors to glue to the fronts of our finished cookies.
3) For the Dosi Do and Savannah smile the white board cookie shape was colored in by the Daisy Girl Scout. They really liked this. You could also do it with the other flavors of cookies. Just make sure you have really good markers or extras.
4) Other cookies had felt cut to go over cookie shape and glued with  the glue gun to the back .
5) Straps were glued to the cookie so it could be warn by the girl scout.
